Executive Function Coaching

Individual sessions with an Executive Function Coach are designed to strengthen students' organization, time management, procrastination, communication, preparation, and execution of academic tasks.  

 

Schedule individual sessions to focus on the key strategies listed below. Every session is designed to integrate executive function strategies with the student's regular coursework, homework, and school curriculum. Students learn these skills as they plan their week, complete homework assignments, and prepare for upcoming quizzes and tests.

  • Why you should eat for breakfast and why it matters

  • How to avoid leaving stuff at home and asking mom or dad to go back to get it

  • Why and when should music or television be on or of while doing work

Taking Notes

  • How to take notes from a powerpoint or keynote presentation
